Library Rules & Regulations
Pakistan School Library, Bahrain
Primary:
The Primary School Library is committed to
support the school mission and vision statement through promoting a conducive
learning environment. Primary students
visit the library each week with their classroom teacher. The following
guidelines apply to Primary students:
- Students may have 3 books checked
out at a time.
- Books are loaned for 2 week
periods and can be renewed for an additional 2 weeks.
- Students are liable for any loss
or damage to library materials.
- Appropriate behavior is expected
in the library at all times.
- Please be kind to our books!
- Primary
students can use the computer lab only with teacher supervision.
Secondary:
The mission of the Pakistan School Library
Programme is to ensure that students, learn, develop and master the skills of
research. In addition to this, we aim to enhance their skills at filtering
information so that they are effective users of information along with the
practice of academic honesty. The Library strives to provide the school
community with a wide range of materials on appropriate levels of difficulty
that will encourage growth in knowledge, foster a life-long love of reading,
and establish information literacy. Secondary
students may visit the library between 8 am and 2 pm each
day. Students coming to the library during instructional time are
required to have a signed and dated pass from their teacher. The
following guidelines apply to Secondary students:
- Students may have 3 books checked
out at a time.
- Books are loaned for 2 week
periods and can be renewed for an additional 2 weeks.
- Books used for research projects
or the IB Extended Essay are available for extended loans with staff
approval.
- Late books incur 100 fils per
day late fee.
- Students are liable for any loss
or damage to library materials.
- Appropriate behavior is expected
in the library at all times.
- Please be kind to our books!
- Printing and photocopying
available for a small fee.
- Print requests should be emailed to a librarian, NO USBs will be accepted.
